Susan Gregg Gilmore '79 has a new book, The Improper Life of Bezellia Grove, the story of a young girl fighting injustice in early 1960s Nashville. Alexandra’s writing talents and humor were recognized early by her NCS classmates, who chose her as their speaker on Flag Day, which she described as looking like “the world’s biggest groomless outdoor wedding.” At Harvard, Alexandra wrote a column for the Harvard Crimson and was rewarded for her efforts by being chosen as one of two speakers to give this year's humorous Ivy oration, her topic being “ Elevator Safety and Immortality.” At the Post, Alexandra has covered Star Wars speed-dating and posted several opinion pieces, most recently a guide to egg safety, ” Twelve signs your eggs have turned." ![]() ![]() ![]() News of just a few of our many alumnae who are writers:Īlexandra Petri ’06, who graduated from Harvard University in June, is now a staff writer for the Washington Post.
